Real Estate Representation

Spec’s has been in business since 1962, all the while owned by the same Houston family. We have worked hard to strive to improve our business over the years in this competitive market. As times have changed and procedures have been improved, we have executed new measures to ensure we are properly represented in these competitive markets.

In 2009, Jody Detmore was recruited as Real Estate Manager to be the liaison between Spec’s and its many landlords. This has helped us to be more efficient in managing our massive retail portfolio. In addition to being Real Estate Manager, Mrs. Detmore is also Spec’s exclusive Tenant Representative Broker. Spec’s no longer is represented by outside brokers or brokerage firms to represent them for new locations, renewals, or relocations. Mrs. Detmore serves as Vice President of SFP Brokerage, LLC, where she is the broker in charge of all negotiations for Spec’s for all real estate matters.

With this new real estate arrangement, and the understanding that there are still many off market properties that can be off the radar, we still value referrals from the brokerage community. It keeps us competitive and up to date with what is happening in this ever expanding and rapidly moving environment. As such, please be notified that Spec’s is solely represented for all real estate matters by their broker Jody Detmore with SFP Brokerage. Unless employed by an executed agreement, Spec’s does not authorize any outside brokers, brokerage firms, or individuals to represent them on any projects, to seek out properties on their behalf, to present themselves as a location acquisition representative, or to handle any real estate business.
